The Communications and Marketing Commission is accepting submissions from college marketing and communications professionals for work produced between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2026 for the Awards of Excellence.

The AFC Awards of Excellence provides an opportunity to see what your peers across Florida are creating and learn from innovative approaches to college communications. By sharing your work, you contribute to the knowledge base that helps all Florida colleges better serve their students and communities.

What Can You Enter?
Your eligible work must have been produced between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2026. The competition features six diverse divisions:
📰 Division A: Print – Annual reports, brochures, newsletters, advertisements, and more
🪧 Division B: Signage – Indoor/outdoor signage, posters, displays
🎥 Division C: Video/Photography – Photography, videos, video campaigns
📱 Division D: Social Media – Both paid and organic campaigns
💻 Division E: Miscellaneous – Digital advertising, websites, redesigns, promotional items
🌟 Division F: Exemplary Practice – The big one! A comprehensive campaign showcase with a $500 prize and presentation opportunity at the Success Summit in Orlando.
What Judges Look For
Your work will be evaluated by AFC peers and industry experts on four key criteria:
- Creativity – Did you think outside the box?
- Originality – Is this fresh and innovative?
- Relevance – Does it fit the category perfectly?
- Effectiveness – Did it achieve real results?

Ready to Submit?
SubmitWinner Presentations
Each division winner will be asked to present their award-winning work during an online webinar at a Communications and Marketing Commission monthly meeting during the year. This will give winners the opportunity to share their creative approach, strategy, and impact with peers across Florida’s colleges.
Webinars will be scheduled for the 2027 calendar year. Winners will receive a digital certificate via email and recognition at the 2027 Leadership Summit.
