Service Project
AFC’s service project is a statewide, year-round initiative addressing food insecurity across Florida’s 28 public colleges. Rather than a one-time collection drive, the project is built around supporting the food pantries that already exist on your campus — and telling the story of what your college is doing for its students beyond the classroom. Individuals, chapters, and regions contribute to their own institution’s food pantry throughout the year. AFC tracks statewide totals through the year and features participating campuses in the AFC newsletter. The project culminates at the Annual Conference with a keynote on affordability, access, and food insecurity — and a presentation that shows the full picture of what the Florida College System is doing for its students.
Silent Auction Hosted by the AFC Foundation
The AFC Foundation is soliciting items for this year’s silent auction. Individuals, chapters, regions, commissions, learning communities, and boards are welcome to donate items to fill the tables. Items that sell include artwork, gift baskets, hotel stays, sports memorabilia, jewelry, technology devices, books, gift cards, event tickets, services, and decorations. If you wish to donate an item, it may be brought directly to the conference in November.
