AFC Serves 2026: St. Johns River State College

The St. Johns River State College food pantry is built around two things: strong partnerships and flexibility. The team works with local agencies, student engagement, student government, and the college’s foundation to keep donations coming in. Students can grab ready-to-eat items on campus or take groceries home for their families.

That accessibility has had real impact. In the words of one student: “Some nights the food you all provide is the only thing my family can eat for dinner. We’ve made many meals with the canned foods and packaged mashed potatoes. It really does make a difference, and makes me so proud to be a Viking at SJR. Thank you.”

This fall, the pantry is planning a campus food drive and working on a cookbook featuring simple, affordable recipes using common pantry items, both to grow resources and keep the conversation around food access going.
