Participants learned how to identify everyday leadership behaviors, build a culture of leadership development, and implement strategies that strengthen engagement, accountability, and performance. Participants in this session left with actionable tools to cultivate leaders across their colleges and create a more leader and student‑centered organization.

Deb Snellen is a nationally recognized talent management strategist, speaker, and the author of Scalable Talent Management: Proven People Strategies for Excellence in Organizations of Any Size. Her work spans higher education, civic leadership, and organizational development, with a track record that includes leading the 4C Talent Management program at the University of Missouri Office of Advancement — an initiative that contributed to a $1.4 billion fundraising campaign, maintained turnover below 5%, and earned three national awards from CASE.
Deb has served on the faculty of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organization Management for over a decade, published more than 100 articles on talent management, and currently teaches organizational development and leadership communication at Lake-Sumter State College. She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and practitioner credentials in Situational Leadership II, Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument, and Franklin Covey programs.
