Leadership development is not one-size-fits-all. Institutions must develop leaders at all career stages. This session will explore components of a robust leadership development program that meets the needs of current and emerging leaders while preparing a talent pipeline for critical positions through succession planning.

This session will enable colleges to develop leaders through out their institutions, ensuring leadership continuity, which will increase employee engagement and retention. As employees are engaged and well-trained as leaders, students success will be positively impacted as well. By the end of this session participants will be able to:

• Describe key components of a comprehensive leadership development program
• Design leadership programs for emerging and current leaders to include a succession planning program
• Identify and overcome challenges in creating a leadership development program
