Panama City, FL – Gulf Coast State College’s Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) was selected by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as the National Small Business Week (NSBW) 2026 Veteran Business Outreach Center of the Year. This marks the Center’s third recognition, having previously been named VBOC of the Year in 2019 and 2014.
“Being named VBOC of the Year for the third time is an incredible honor and a reflection of the dedication our team brings to serving Florida’s veteran and military-connected entrepreneurs every day,” said Brenton Peacock, VBOC Director and Business Analyst. “This recognition speaks to the trust our clients place in us and the strong partnerships we’ve built across the state. We’re proud to continue expanding access to resources and support that help veterans, service members, and military spouses turn their business goals into reality.”
Award recipients will be celebrated during the National Small Business Awards Ceremony in Washington, D.C., on May 3–4, 2026.
The Florida Veterans Business Outreach Center at Gulf Coast State College delivers entrepreneurial development services in accordance with U.S. Small Business Administration program objectives, serving a broad network of military installations throughout the state. The Center has expanded its outreach to increase access to services for veterans, service members, and military spouses pursuing small business ownership.
