Pensacola State College (PSC) unveiled a $900K aircraft at Pensacola International Airport to enhance its new aviation mechanics program so that students can gain hands-on maintenance experience, preparing them for high-wage careers in aviation.
The College’s Aviation Airframe Mechanics and Aviation Power Plan Mechanics (A&P Mechanics) program is a partnership between the College, ST Engineering, Triumph Gulf Coast, and the City of Pensacola and Santa Rosa County Economic Development.
The aircraft was generously donated by C. Donald “Don” Bishop, President and CEO of InDyne, Inc. and Chairman fo the Board and CEO of InDyne’s Reliance Test & Technology (RT&T) Joint Venture. Don Bishop stated, “We are very pleased to provide the Merlin IV-C Metroliner to Pensacola State College for the benefit of the students and the community. It will bring a new dimension to the opportunities afforded [at] PSC and its students for years to come.”
